Jun 12 Super Easy Rainbow Pride Cocktail Recipe!

Happy Pride Month friends! June is probably one of my all time favorite months of the year. The sun shines for longer, the temperatures get warmer, and we get to celebrate being gay and all the progress we have seen in the recent years. All month long there are tons of fun events throughout San Francisco, all culminating to the big Pride Parade down Market St. on Sunday the 24th. Anyone planning on going?

I know a lot of you will be hosting Pride parties this month, and so I partnered with SKYY Vodka to share a super easy and colorful Pride cocktail recipe.

Here's what you need:

Tons of colorful fruit
purple grapes
blueberries
kiwi's
pineapple
oranges
strawberries
lime
simple syrup
SKYY Vodka

One of my favorite things about SKYY Vodka is that they were actually founded in San Francisco over 25 years ago. I’m all about supporting the local brand, especially when they make some super delicious vodka and have been long-time LGBT supporters. Given their San Francisco-roots, the brand has aligned with Pride events across the country for years, and I’m excited to be a part of their San Francisco Pride activation this year. They also have a colorful blue bottle, which is totally on brand for Pride Month.

Directions

Chop, peel and separate all the fruit

stack the fruit in a highball glass, layer by layer, creating a rainbow effect

Here's the order I used: grapes, blueberries, kiwi's, pineapples, oranges, and then strawberries
Then in a shaker mix (makes two cocktails)
- 1.5 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1 oz simple syrup
- 4 oz SKYY Vodka
Shake hard with ice and strain into highball glass layered with fruit

Add a colorful straw and Voila! A delicious and refreshing Pride cocktail that looks and tastes AMAZING! And when you're finished you have an equally tasty vodka infused fruit cup. Win win!
