Hiking in the Clouds

Its been a long week at work, so this weekend I made sure to add in lots of self care time. Saturday morning we woke up nice and early for a long weekend hike.  It was my first time to the eastern peak of Mt. Tam. It started off a bit foggy, but it slowly cleared as we hiked up the steep incline. The hike is located near Mill Valley, just a short drive across the Golden Gate Bridge. It was an absolutely stunning view from the very top. I loved the mix of green and red foliage throughout. For awhile it was almost as if we were hiking in the clouds. I definitely recommend this venture for a quick SF weekend getaway. Its steep, so prepare for a good four mile round trip climb.
