Sunny Rooftops & Airshows

This weekend we got to go on a rooftop and celebrate Fleet Week. It seems like every weekend there is some sort of event or festival, or some excuse for the city of San Francisco to come together. This weekend was no exception.  Fleet Week is a yearly event where all the Navy ships come into the Bay, and everyone goes to the beach or finds a rooftop to watch the Blue Angels perform each evening. The planes were incredible! It is amazing how they can fly so close to each other and do flips and turns all the while flying in unison. It is basically synchronized swimming with fighter jets. We spent the evening up on a friends rooftop, sipping some champagne, and listening to the Top Gun soundtrack while the jets flew overhead. It was a perfectly clear day, and it turned into an even more beautiful sunset.  I'm sure this will be a new tradition of ours.
