Rainy Day at the Museum

The rain this weekend was the perfect excuse for us to finally check out the newly renovated SF MOMA downtown. I'm a huge fan of modern and contemporary art, so its been a long time coming. Unfortunately I think we had the same idea as the rest of the city that day. The museum was absolutely packed to the brim. It was a bit overwhelming at times. Nevertheless, the art was amazing. They truly  have an impressive collection on display. The museum is almost too big to see in one day. I think our favorite rooms were the ones that displayed some Cy Twombly's and Frank Stella's. I also really loved walking through the immersive "Stillness in Motion" by Tomas Saraceno. The only downside was that we were not able to go outside on any of the terraces due to the rain. I guess we'll have to come back for another visit!
