San Diego Getaway

I spent the earlier part of this week exploring the beautiful city of San Diego. It is just a short 2 1/2 hour drive from LA, if you are able to strategically avoid some traffic. Some great friends from college recently moved there, and they happened to have a guest bedroom! I decided to head down for a couple days. Lots of you gave me lists of great coffee shops and hikes to try, and I did my best to hit as many as possible!
This beautiful space was called The Coffee and Tea Collective. It is located near the downtown area. It was very large and open, and had this amazing subway tiled wall. I sat there for awhile and caught up on some emails and edited some photos.
This cute place was called Coffee+Flowers. Two of my favorite things in one place! They had florists working side by side with baristas. What a dream! I tried the avocado toast and their iced Americano. Delicious. The shop was also connected to a nursery on the other side, and I was very tempted to take some succulent friends home.
Some of the flowers for purchase, which I loved.
I walked to another Coffee and Tea Collective in North Park, and this space was very different than the first one I visited downtown. I visited in the morning for a quick waffle and cortado, and I absolutely fell in love with their white minimalist space.
I also visited a little hipster store called Pigment. It is one of those cute shops that sells random things and adorable cards, and plants, and apartment accessories that you don't need but that you definitely now want. They had this incredible succulent wall outside. It was heaven.
Here I am on a comfy couch at the Moniker General store. I wanted to buy the stormy painting, but it sadly wasn't for sale :(
Then we went on the incredible Torrey Pines Trail hike. This trail has you weaving up and down cliffs, eventually leading you back down to the beach. It is now one of my all time favorite hikes.
Once you get down to the water, it iss just a short walk on the beach to get back to the car. So beautiful and perfect.
I loved my time in San Diego and I can't wait to visit my friends again!
