Traveling to The Big Easy

I just got back from a quick little business trip to New Orleans, or "The Big Easy" as they call it.  I loved the vibrancy and energy of the city. Every building is colorful and filled with lots of plants. I wandered around the French Quarter and loved all the French/Spanish architecture and live jazz bands. It was all a little touristy at times, but still a very fun experience. I wish I had a little bit more time to go outside the city and explore the Bayou. I did get to go on a Mississippi River Boat dinner cruise though. Very fun. The food was also amazing! Lots of Gumbo and Jambalaya and spicy cajun dishes. Oh, and the beignets from Cafe Du Monde. Delicious. I told my Uber driver how much i loved the food and he said, "I love San Francisco food too. Rice-A-Roni is delicious" haha. Here are some of my favorite shots from the week.

The parking lot of the WWII museum.

Beignets

There would be random jazz bands on street corners throughout the French Quarter.

Jackson Square.

The River Boat cruise

Of course I had to check out the Ace Hotel

I loved all the clouds. The weather was a little humid, but overall not too bad.

The mighty Mississippi.

I found an old French Antique chandelier shop.

I fell in love with this light fixture at the Stumptown coffee

All the buildings are very colorful. Almost as colorful as San Francisco.

I'm likin' your curves Superdome.
